TLI Online is an effective way to learn Mandarin for those who need to learn Mandarin at their own schedule and pace. TLI China features live, native speaking instructors - with six different course series with almost thirty curriculums, suitable for a range of Mandarin-speaking levels.
TLI Online courses include HSK preparation levels 1-11.
Outlines of sample courses include:
Beginner Mandarin:
- Level A1: Survival Chinese for basic communicative needs. Begin with Romanized pronunciation, basic greetings, and salutations. Familiar topics for everyday situations.
- Level A2: Begin from hobbies, part-time jobs, foreign language learning, and holiday plans – a broad range of conversation areas for speaking practice.
- Level A3: Sentences and stories in each lesson for reading and writing practice. Begin with Romanized pronunciation, English definitions, and stroke order for writing.
Intermediate Mandarin:
- Level B6: Survival Mandarin Chinese for basic office communication. This course suits learners who have achieved primary level and who wish to study within a condensed period. Besides basic grammar, content includes frequently-used words, sentences, dialogues in the daily office life, such as using office equipment, to ask for assistance, meetings, presentations, entertaining customers visited your company, to ask for leave etc.
Advanced Mandarin:
- Level C2: Business II: conducting business meetings, computer network use, employment, financial discussions, factory issues, negotiations, contract signing, placing orders, advertising, business planning and investments.
- Level C5: Banking & Securities: understanding investing, brokerage-accounts, stock market etc.
Besides Mandarin, TLI also provides a Dialects Teaching Service (Taiwanese, Cantonese and Shanghai languages) to our students. Dialects Teaching Service is specially designed for foreigners who would live in those regions for a long period of time.
